Essentially this ceremony is for the two of us to celebrate, and I know this. I do not feel the need to over spend and make it over the top, but I do worry about little things that I do wish to want:
- the cake
- photography
- my hair and make up
- the venue
- the reception
- the honeymoon
- my dress
- his clothes (what ever he wants to wear
- the officiant
- the invitation list
- food
- drink
- music
- videos
- pictures
- bridal party
- handfasting rope
- the ceremony its self
I simply want this to be about us sharing our celebration with our loved ones. I want it to be so much more than my first wedding. I do not want to ask for help, but I do. I feel silly about this, but it is making me a little crazy. I maybe need to meditate on this a little bit? In all honesty I could marry this man in a potato sack alone at the sewage lagoons and be happy, but I want this to be a special celebration that means something to both of us.

you could get married in a local park? I know the weather is unpredictable, but you can always have a black up plan. instead of photographers, Ive seen people just buy disposible cameras for the guests to use. If you cant find a pagan who is legal to marry people, you could ask if the mayor is available. I had a friend who got the mayor of her local city to marry them.
ReplyDeleteVery true. We were considering a local park, but thought it may be best to have the reception in a different location. My dress I think we have figured out. I was also thinking another friend of mine had one glad take pictures with her camera, and then asked that everyone that took pictures sent them to her either via email or burned to a disk. They ended up with some awesome shots at many angles. It helps to get your input thank you so much. <3
